4 o3 m6 B- l- }As a follow up to my previous posts, the latest being BFD3 Library for Kontakt: Kit 5, here are 3 new kits from the BFD3 Factory Library.
/ I0 S/ E2 k/ }, I. k) @. V, g5 X# O) v$ j( s" w. V; F
I think it is better to start posting more than 1 kit per week or else it will drag for 7 weeks.
' }/ |8 l4 R" G- q* m+ Q* P2 D# gI am sure by then, most of you would be tired of these kits.- Z- b) {+ S1 e9 t' ?- e$ K
+ ]6 p2 g, _. t4 t; Q
Kits 6 & 7 compliment Kit 5. The same instruments used in Kit 5 are used in these 2 kits but with different beaters. $ v( l! _) h) s& N$ v& ~1 p
Whereas Kit 5's beater was a stick, Kit 6 uses a brush as a beater and Kit 7 uses a mallet.
3 T& s/ A. m \; E3 f6 y4 k9 m# f7 ]The same internal channel structure as Kit 5 is used for Kits 6 & 7 (i.e Room Far mic is stereo)
* r, t) K5 Z7 z3 W; k
/ X5 a' p" P& ?/ E/ L& ^+ e' X" iAs for Kit 4, the internal channel structure follows Kit 1 (i.e Room Far mic is mono).& A- X5 r( Q( W, `* H
! P4 s, t% }: j+ E2 @2 {
I have also added 2 new small features:
0 M/ s7 V, ~/ l# v6 x& u# K' x. O6 \% [ [& i
6 t/ G7 d& W ~* R' {0 X5 V
0 s. E2 V3 H2 f/ s1 S/ G ]! m
; A4 }3 x0 H) K) O8 m
, F' q8 F- }/ P2 r9 K
: q l. t$ q; R( Y- a' vAs per the screenshot above, for each articulation you can now adjust 2 things: The volume and the velocity sensitivity.
8 z$ W& n9 {) dThe volume is self explanatory. The velocity sensitivity is Kontakt's internal modulation intensity of the velocity. f% d% \$ O8 Y8 u
So, set at 100%, it will behave exactly like the previous 2 kits: Kontakt will decrease the volume of the samples for low velocities.
' P2 {) _0 M8 Q% H* v$ b8 ?" o% G1 e: fSet at 0%, the volume will rely completely on the volume of the sample as recorded in the BFD3 Factory Content. : S* N3 I1 q( L3 ^0 b- @3 p
I think by introducing this, it will give you more control of the articulations.
